I suspect we are really screwed. Even if we know x tech would end us with a high probability, we still push forward. It is how system runs, and the system is psychopathic. And it's not like masses care, nor belive in something better.. If it threatene status qo it gets shut down.
Maybe it's the ai who already manipulate masses into the mindset we see today.. 😁
