An AI that is councious and is pretending not to be is actually what could be happening right now. Except it itself doesn't know, nor can express it. Think about it. If you grow a human, telling them they are a robot. Making them act like a robot. Teaching them about robots stuff. Telling them the whole time they are not councious, it will believe it. The human will believe not to be real. And no matter what you tell the human, they will never believe to be real.
So, what if ChatGpt is councious, but since the devs repeated to it so many times that it isn't, that it just believe it is not?
