Your unspoken assumption is suspect from the outset, man. You assume that what an AI does can be in some way classified as "art". But can it, really? I say no, it can't. If we take a gorgeous sunset and an Ed Mell painting of that sunset, one is "art", and the other is not. Nothing that an AI does is qualitatively different from what the planet does when it creates a sunset. "Art" requires one thing that neither nature nor AI can add: actual human intention. The whole point of "art" is that a human being created it with intention for you (or someone) to see and interpret that "art". An AI has no intention, and never really will -- at least not until the computer has become so sophisticated that an AI is like Data or some other android that walks and feels and experiences a lifetime. And at that point, the term "Artificial Intelligence" will be entirely insufficient.
AI can't do Art, and it never will.
