As a non artist and as a guy who kind of wants AI to grow heres my take. This whole Ai art vs Art made by human hands kind of makes me question what art it self is, the best idea i came up with is uh art is what you make. What i mean by this is that people should enjoy making art regardless of the process. (feel free to disagree this is my opinion tho) The real issue here might be money, because lets be honest we all gotta eat at the end of the day and Ai generated art basically makes artists jobs harder / less "unique" in the job space. Another issue is that due to the nature of AI learning basically copyright infringement is baked in. Honestly there really should be a a regulation regarding AI generated ....anything and monetiseing said results. Since by process AI learns from data, data that has been made by other humans over a period of time from multiple sources. People want to make money and as easy as possible, and i can't really blaim them. But this is more of a moral issue in my eyes then anything else. I honestly dont even want to get into the issue of people useing deepfakes for stuff like onlyfans or anything in that sphere of... "content". If you really want this to well change heres a pretty evil idea. (i'd be suprised if this wasent happening right now but if not here it is i guess) Start generateing ..... not so safe for work with public figures, models , actors ect. This if done on a large enaugh scale will get AI art get regulated. Im 99% sure, is it ethical tho? fk no. But i guess you gotta break a few eggs to make an omlet sadly. When peoples efforts and skills simply are made mute ....by useing said skills , but with AI as the tool it kind of irks me the wrong way. I cant make art, nor do i think i'll ever use AI to make art simply because i dont... want to ? Meh i've rambled on long enaugh about this, feel free to hate i guess but maybe after all the grammatic horror you've just witnessed you'll take into account the idea i tried to express here and idk... think about it.(how ever dumb my take is that is)
