AI art exists because there is a demand for cheap customized images. Artists have not been able to meet that demand. Commissions are expensive and telling people to just draw it yourself is like telling a person to just make their own table if they cannot afford a handmade one. AI art is the equivalent to mass production. Anyone today can afford decent cheap furniture because of mass production. And now it is the same with customized images.
