Technology is a tool used to fight wars. Wars are and likely will be fought for the same reasons they are now. Perhaps 1 day it will be autonomous attack weapons vs. autonomous defensive systems...and there are only machines that have to die. Technology doesn't have to lead to dystopia. It's all a matter of how it's deployed. Wars have been fought as far back as recorded history allows us to look. The military-industrial complex isn't the driver of wars. if we could magically take away the profit made from war machines, the wars are still going to happen as they always have.
