A few points i want to make, first AI isn't the issue, companies, and their unchecked greed are the issue. Second, just because AI isn't the "source" of our problems, they will likely be the uncaring, unmoving bearers of bad news. Unlike the industrial revolution where we had a land of opportunity, we are living in a land of exploitation now. We will not handle this time, like any time in the past. I don't believe for a second, that companies will say "oh look, more money, lets share it". Yeah right. Keep in mind in 60 years we will have replaced at least 80% of our jobs with machines, middle aged, and older people who have been running McDonald's as a shift manager for 20 years are gonna be helpless in the new environment, remember we have more lower skilled labor than high skill labor. Idk about yall, but im probably smarter than the average person in my area, and I will probably be screwed by this as a machine operator, afterall why do you need a person to operate a machine when it can do it itself? If not handled really carefully it will end in a shadowrunner world.
