legal and ethical iffiness aside, a lot of the people using hastags like SupportHumanArtists or SayNoToAI tend to overreact with the tone one would use to proclaim that the ice caps have melted. these are people who don't care much for how AI art is plagiarization, but for how it's not "human". they're afraid of technological advancements and it's reminiscent of the hysteria provoked when cameras were invented. it's unsettling.
