Sparks of AGI is good way to represent the current scenario, but I have seen a lot of people pushing their narrative about AGI coming into existence now or within 2-3 years. I think it is a really bold claim, and no one is certain about anything, everyone just pretending to know a hell lot about things. The best line of action now according to me is to have mastery of the fundamentals from various related fields one is working upon, for example, for a programmer, he can master the programming paradigms, algorithms and data structures, understanding data etc. But , the best thing anyone can do in these uncertain times is to be really ready for change. We are entering a new territory, let's hope it is exciting.
