I’ve been a digital artist for almost 3 years now, and I actually like ai art and find the process of how it actually works very intricate and bewildering. The way machine learning and artificial intelligence works is way more than what you explained it as and is closer to the way a human learns from inspiration than you might think. Ai is more than just an art form, it’s a form of evolution and that’s why ai is a big scare to a lot of people because once it has evolved enough to be self aware it’s not only going to do art better than us, but improve upon itself until it’s an entire civilization tier above our current type 0 civilization. But all the facts aside my momma always said once you post something to the internet it’s there forever and no longer only you that possesses it. Parents geared that quote more towards nudes and rants that you may regret later, but applies all the same to pictures you draw. You can try to keep it old school and only do physical art that you only display in person to keep it as your own and not give people copies of it on the internet because ai IS the internet at this point and is interweaved into every part of it, it’s just not fully sentient yet so it doesn’t “want” your art but has a button for humans to push to make it learn it.
