Of course these AI videos have an effect when the entire media keeps picking them up, talking about them, spreading them, and replaying them. For example, the AI video with the little girl appeared on a local Facebook page and would never have had a significant impact if it had not been spread across the media as “news.” Now even DW is spreading it.
