First: Subbed/liked. Thanks for informing people. It sucks that you and others have received so much backlash in regards to something where the legality of it is already in question.
Second: As someone who uses AI art gens relatively frequently for visual aids in a DND campaign, what is bullet-point list of conditions you wish AI art would continue under? I personally think copyright infringing corporations leading the AI art charge should be reprimanded and all copywritten art in these learning DBs should be removed. Then, as you said, implement a standardized opt-in system on digital art studios that wish to contribute to learning DBs. Other than that, what else? If those conditions are met, I don't see any further problems with AI art gens.
AI art may not be going away, and as a user I certainly don't want it to, but I understand the frustration.
