Well, the devs that got laid off should tell the companies to foff. At the end of the day, even if they do get their job back, how long will that last ? They'll get laid off again as soon as the ai's improve. So why waste your time saving the companies ass ? There is such as thing as loyalty, respect and trust : and the company just broke all 3 ...so just accept it, move away from coding, the sooner the better. Or do it all for yourself, using a.i. contract out and charge that same company 20 times what they were paying you for your new found expertise, after all, you are now a one man software enterprise capabale of doing teh work of a 40 string programming team .. so YOU should profit from YOUR new found skills .. not them. Or let them go down the tubes and pick up all their business.
