I don't see a real threat in AI, more like useful tool for solo animators/indie game makers.But it's absolutely useless when it comes to a specific stuff like pose, pov, perspective, ornaments, style, personality, colors, secret meaning, etc. It can't give you what you exactly want to see,it gives you what it "calculates" you want to see. It does takes away some labor from artists, mostly because AI users don't care about the final result, they just want something "so-so ok-ish" in seconds for free,but this "something" mostly just a boring and trivial collage which needs a redo/altering due a lot of mistakes.Russians call this stuff "sdelano na ot'ebis". 🙂
Artist should love their hobby, should defend their rights and works or get paid for their passive contribution in AI development, but artists should never afraid of it.
