I don't think AI should be compared to animals. AI doesn't have emotion. AI doesn't have an ego. AI doesn't care about surviving unless someone tells AI to do so. AI will do as it's told.
What to worry about are the people behind AI who don't care about humanity, human intelligence, human purpose and general wellbeing.
