I don’t think either AI or tech in general is exponential…. Seems more likely it is sigmoidal. There is an exponential component to tech which it seems like we are past now. Tech in general seems to be advancing much more slowly now compared to the mid to late 20th century. We may still be on the exponential component of AI but there are already rumblings about diminishing returns and running out of data to train it.
