Controversial take on gen ai :
Talented artist still have more work than time but mediocre or unskilled artist will have really hard time.
And if you draw for hobby no one will ever get that from you but if you draw just because you need like and validation maybe you should hang your social media page and draw more for yourself and hone your skill.
I have saw too many people asking why they didnt get commission with portfolio full of botched anatomy and when i suggest they work more on basics they get all defensive, so yeha tuing are going rough for oc commission and board game art i guess, but for hight budget production a skilled artist or big name is worth more marketing than the fact you have to admit to using ai for part of the project that more often than not is faced with criticism from a small loud part of the audience.
So if an indie production use ai to help themselves cutting some fund i see nothing wrong since there never money for artist there to begin with.
