As far as treatment goes, if the robot could feel pain then we should treat it well enough to not cause it pain. Of course it would be hard to tell if it's really feeling pain or if it's just programmed to respond in ways that makes us think it is feeling pain. How would we know? But I guess that's what this video is asking.
