the reason we won't see this for a very long time is simple. there are to many variables to account for, in good conditions self driving trucks would be fine but what about heavy traffic driving through snow with multiple detours and road closures. also what's the maintenance cost on these trucks, I'm assuming the sensors and cameras will need to be well maintained. we are still long away from self driving trucks.
