I think thats very much changing. A few years ago yes. Youre right, it is uncomfortable, but lets talk candidly. US companies love to hire off shore because its cheap. The problem is that cheap means... well... cheap. You increase your price, and the perceived value goes up, but then you price yourself out of that work your talking about. Before I go on, I'm just repeating shit our corporate overlords say semi-privately. I didn't make the system. I'm a shameless communist at heart. Anyway... I think AI is going to break the whole system. Most people are in denial. Those eargerly excited can't see beyond a year from now, and the people who dont like it are just letting out a few screams before they need to report for work at Wendy's. Wish I could change it. Where I work, I love the guys in India just as much as we love everyone else. We're fortunate enough to travel and see eachother semi-frequently. But still, some are taken advantage of.
