had to scroll too far for this reply. Even before AI a junior's feature might have wound up with a pesky null at runtime that they struggled to debug. You mentor them to teach them how to read other people's code (or their own AI code, same difference) and how to debug it. Hell, at many companies I've work for a junior would be required to *only* work on bug fixes for their first few tickets so they could get used to to code. Reading existing code has always been the more important skill than writing it, arguably. AI has just amplified that even more.
