How do you fight Meta spending billions of dollars to buy the legislation they want? How can you fight politicians who sell out to the highest bidder if you don’t have more money to spend than Meta? We live in the dystopian corporatocracy predicted by William Gibson two generations ago. People don’t realize that because schools keep teaching we live in a democratic republic where voters are the reason things are done. That has not been true for a long time now. If you have some ideas on how we can all effectively fight back, I’d love to hear them and I’m sure millions of likeminded people would too. But I honestly don’t think this is the hot-button issue that’s going to start the revolution. Until then and unfortunately, I think we’re pretty powerless going up against a 1.67 trillion dollar company. This is just how it goes when you are ruled by trillion dollar corporations and their greedy, power hungry politician-lackeys.
