It's telling how the "can computers ever be conscious/sentient/sapient/self-aware/etc." argument suddenly got a thousand times more popular (overwhelmingly on the "no" side) when billionaires started doing shitty things with AI.
This isn't an attempt to find truth. It's an attempt to (further) discredit a bunch of people that we don't like and who have already discredited themselves quite effectively.
