>This post assumes we have adults in charge.
this was my biggest doubletake.

like this is really dramatic. the current admin would absolutely play these games even if this were just sonnet 4.0.
if anyone doesn't think so, then they're paying very little attention to what's going on. OPs entire quoted claim is presupposed on the basis that the admin is, like, actually a serious group of people. i realize that remark sounds super biased, but again, if you're paying attention, then you know that what i'm saying transcends paltry political biases. this is known around the fucking world and can be confirmed by literally every country on this earth if you want some extra opinions on how seriously to take the admin. it's so bad that every single day there are more trump voters expressing regret. i recently saw a study that some trump voters are so ashamed that they're now claiming they never voted for trump at all. like this is really a ridiculous situation we're in.
maybe the claude they were using really was somewhat ahead of consumer models. that wouldn't even be earthshattering to speculate. my biggest issue was just with the quoted argument. it's just a really silly thing to say given the history of this admin. it sounds like it came out of a vacuum, rather than understanding the particularly unique moment we're in.
