Dude, same. My wife teaches at college level and deals with it all the time. Most of her assignments are not critical and are opinion papers based on students' experiences engaging with art. She requires college level output - being able to actually respond to prompts, form a coherent thought, express that you actually watched or read the assignment. It's an introduction class that meets some arts requirements and is literally one of the easiest classes you can take...and kids are still using AI. She doesn't get paid for all the extra time it takes to deal with the fallout and doesn't like to fail people. Instructors are usually only paid for the allotted classroom time, not for all the hours of grading and administrative time spent chasing down all this bullshit. My wife has a terminal degree and when you breakdown her wage to an hourly one, she often makes less than a fast food worker where we live (nothing against fast food workers). I broke it down once and she was making about $18/hour when you account the grading and admin hours. Our society is in trouble.
