Most people with the title are full stack engineers with python backgrounds that pivoted to tensorflow/ml specializations in the past 2 years. Last, your "build a company in your garage" point 1000% applies. The entire pets.com mentality of building a website for a billion dollar valuation completely outside of the big companies is the same business model for replit, lovable, cursor, and Claude style enterprise.
