That's kind of the problem with bubbles: by definition they happen suddenly and for reasons that are not necessarily obvious.
The reason the AI bubble is so anxiety-inducing is because it's not only going to cause huge problems when it does finally pop; it's *currently* causing problems as it's inflating.
