I think “nail in the coffin” is pretty strong. AI is not dead or dying. But I do think that we’ve now confirmed that LLMs are reaching their maximum functional “intelligence” and are plateauing…as many of us have been predicting.
Even if we don’t get much better from here in terms of raw intelligence, we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of what AI, even in its current form, means for the world.
