I think there’s also tons of llm usage by leadership
In tech orgs - writing emails from bullet points, getting bullet points from emails, writing performance reviews etc - but not a peep about how it will allow tech companies to flatten hierarchies and reduce the need for upper management. Thats a clear sign that this is really just a squeeze on labor costs and to try to justify rewarding leadership even more. I think we will see lots of interesting tooling come from this - better code generators/seed repositories, and maybe things like a smarter renovate, and contract definition becoming even more important than ever etc, but you can’t brute force elegant design, which is often what creates the step functions in performance we are after.
