Yup. This is the standard new tech business model. Put out a great product at a ridiculously low and unsustainable price point. Keep it around long enough for people to get so accustomed to it that going back to the old way would be more trouble than it’s worth (people competing with it have lost their jobs and moved on to other things). Jack up the prices and lower the quality so that profit can actually be made. I don’t think AI companies are at this point yet. Still a ways to go before people become dependent enough on it.
