AI doesn’t “understand” anything, it’s only giving the most “likely” answer based on probabilities, which in the end is nonsense. Translation tools still tend to give nonsensical answers based on what’s “likely the most correct output”, which often turn out to be “confidently incorrect”. This is obvious to those who speak multiple languages. They obviously do not “understand” grammar and idioms.
