One caveat on this report that I’m not seeing mentioned is that this was a beneficial byproduct of what Russia was aiming to achieve. For years Russian chatbots were flooding social media and pointing to a lot of fake news reports that they were using to seem more credible and push agendas. It corrupting AI LLM models was not the original aim.
