Indeed. At which point the argument then becomes "why don't we fire these expensive devs and get Derek from accounting to do the AI oversight?". Problem is, Derek is an accountant without the knowledge to debug software engineering problems.
Course you could send Derek on a course to learn, at which point you've just turned Derek into an expensive developer and replaced one expensive developer with another.
