I don’t think it’s as good. But that won’t stop the bean counters from laying off or refusing to contract actual talent. We’ve already seen overall quality of entertainment decline due to investors expectations of profit and lack of caring about the “product”. The head of Spotify thinks art is “content”. So yeah it’s not about AI being awesome or not. It’s about people with money trying to make more money for people who don’t need it by making jobs obsolete for people who do need money.
