Girl, you know what customer is always right even means? It doesn't mean any rando can get whatever they want because they paid money. It means if a company makes a decision no matter how wise it might think, if the customers don't think so they won't buy the product, and the market will correct itself. The big AI providers think customers want a model that doesn't produce harmful content, and is willing to sacrifice performance to get that result. If you don't agree, go buy a model that does what you want, and if there's a market demand, the industry will naturally shift to meet it. If you think there's such a clear demand, then go make a model yourself that can suit your needs, and naturally you'll make money. Of course, if your profits get entirely eaten up by lawsuits because your model keeps violating laws, well perhaps you should have thought of that. And if you aren't smart enough to build anything of note then you'll just have to cope with what currently exists.
