This reminds me of when I was in high school, “AI” bots to scan school papers were just becoming a thing. The problem was, it was flagging 5 words in a sentence (example: ‘when the book was read..’) and quotes. I distinctly remember getting a paper back that was flagged at over 40% plagiarism and everything it highlighted was quoted from the actual book or sentences like above. I can’t even imagine what it must be like today. Imagine trying to be an honest kid writing a paper and you literally cannot write an original sentence because everything is being flagged as something that’s been typed before.
