I work at a small private school (though in IT and I'm not a teacher), but I've heard many teachers say they can easily tell when a student has used ChatGPT because they know how their students write. That's easier to do in a small school, but it seems like if a teacher or professor suspects a student has used one of these, a quick meeting with them will settle it.
