Well said. This is the argument against current AI capabilities that most resonates with me. I see a lot of arguments that seem to think AI is limited because it doesn't have some human special sauce. Which seems like egotistical, magical thinking to me. But what really seems to limit AI is the short sighted capitalism of this moment. All the consumer AI stuff we're seeing seems like its being rolled out as fast and dirty as possible to try to catch the marketing wave. No long term thoughtfulness at all. Even with neglectful creators though there are already possibilities for disruption. And I still think that as neural networks get easier to use/combine/train, etc. It becomes more likely that some thoughtful minds outside of the corporate world will stumble upon things that progress towards new kinds of intelligence.
