huge waves? did text to speech make huge waves? did vocoloids make huge waves? they are things that exist that some people enjoy listening to, some don't. some people enjoy utilizing those tools, some don't. hell even ai generated voices has been used in music for a while. here's someone that mainly uses text to speech that used an ai generated 21 savage in 2017: [https://open.spotify.com/track/5yvUxVsw3eJO3nTr5UtEZI?si=18ff408f4bb943b7](https://open.spotify.com/track/5yvUxVsw3eJO3nTr5UtEZI?si=18ff408f4bb943b7) obviously that doesn't sound "real" but sampled voices have been used too. there's certainly going to be questions about legalities regarding sample clearing and whether ai generated voices counts as a sample, but for added context, the general rule is if you're underground enough you don't have to clear any samples because nobody cares enough to pursue you. in particular if we look at the ai generated drake example: A) the one being "sampled" is fairly popular B) the song became popular and hence so did the artist C) the "sample" was the main focus of the song ignoring the ai aspect of this, if this was just a case of not clearing samples, yeah labels would absolutely come for his ass. this was 100% expected. this is just some dude fangirling over drake, and it became a little too public. this shit isn't new. this isn't the beginning of anything.
