I kind of agree with public still helding them accountable. They absolutely deserve that, and the fact that they are legally not reponsible for his death does not change anything on the fact that what they did was immensely stupid and endangered lives.
It looks like they were only charged with coercion and resisting enforcement officers, but delaying an ambulance should always be harshly prosecuted, no matter whether someone dies or not. It should be taken as an attempted involuntary manslaughter, since that's exactly what it was - sure, it was not intentional, only fucking stupid, but they should still have more serious consequences than only for "resisting arrest". They should have chosen a form of protest that does not endanger lives of anyone, and they should have aborted and moved out of the way the moment they saw the ambulance.
The fact that it was proven that he wouldn't have been saved anyway is irrelevant - they couldn't have known it, and it could've cost someone a life only due to their stupid protest.
I understand that it was proven that they in fact did not kill him in this case, so they are not directly responsible for his death, but that should not change anything. They blocked an ambulance for 8 minutes, that could be an unneccessary death sentence in a lot of cases.
While I don't aggree with the methods and forms of protests they are choosing, they should be fully responsible for any potentioal consequences on human lives. Let them block traffic for all I care - as long as they can immediately let an ambulance or other emergency through in case of such emergency. If no emergency such as that happens? They are lucky, but ok. But once the ambulance needs to go though, and they don't have a way how to let it pass, it should be automatically considered as attempted involuntary manslaughter. It is a criminal-negligience to not plan for such emergencies, because people can die due to that. The fact that they were lucky and it wouldn't have helped thi
