All this hype about AI replacing jobs and yet we have a massive labor shortage throughout the West, China, and elsewhere. Many of these jobs are in critival trades that AI can't replace any time soon like healthcare, plumbing, carpentry, etc. We need to stop telling kids college is the only way to a secure future because a lot of these trades are more secure and pay better than the vast majority of white collared jobs.
