Automating stuff is super easy to learn. In addition to Automate the Boring Stuff as recommended in other answers, check out scripting with Powershell (Windows) and Bash (Linux). These are scripting languages designed for making your computer do command line things quickly and easy. It's really good for tasks that are easy but time consuming or repetitive. The big benefit is that any computer will have one of these tools already installed - which is great if you work for a company that might get suspicious if they see you downloading Java or Python tools. In windows you just have to set the execution policy to Unrestricted.
