Except the Japanese government has been taking steps to (and been successful in) lower the rate of suicide. By your own argument, seeing as 70% of the suicides are male and they have actually also seen the biggest decrease, doesn't that mean there have already been calls for support and investment (to the tune of billions of yen) in that problem? There is focus on this particular group of women now because they are experiencing a significant rise in suicides that is not actually present in men. But for a country that has been pledging to lower the rate of suicides by another 30% over the next ten years, which can literally only be done by tackling the amount of men committing suicide, you cannot sit there and claim they don't give a shit about men.
