I did CBT. It's been amazingly effective.
Edit: I should note that CBT is a toolkit and recovery from anxiety/depression is a journey. But it's one where you start having good moments again where your experience isn't so filtered, if that makes sense. If you take on beating anxiety and/or depression just remember that you're changing your automatic thoughts and how you address them - that takes using those tools repeatedly over time until they become automatic - at least that's one part of it.
