Her point all along is that we should be listening to the experts about climate change. I don't think I've ever heard her speak as though she is an authority, only as a young person who is going to be stuck with the result of climate change. Time and time and time again I hear her defer to experts, literally say that she isn't an expert and that we all need to listen to the experts and people jump on her for not being an expert. Literal 40-60 year old adults talking shit about a kid who is telling them to listen to specialists and experts in the field can't understand that she isn't claiming to be an expert. The only arguments I hear against her is in the tone of 'kids too big for her boots' or 'a kid can't know more than me'. To be honest, its terrifying that grown adults are pushing aside an issue like climate change to attack a little girl who is concerned about her future.
