Possibly the greatest thing we could do as a society whilst moving away from combustion vehicles and power would be planting as many trees as possible.
Do whatever you can to make a difference, no matter how small - if you can roll with solar power on your house, do it. If you can plant a tree or two in your backyard, do it. It will take most of society contributing however we can to try and fight this.
