Yeah. And it's those low-impact events that have far more devastating consequences in the end. Earthquakes and tsunami and other high-impact disasters are obviously terrible and destructive, but ultimately nowhere near on the same scale as issues like desertification and sea level rise, which have much more serious long-term environmental, economic, social, and geopolitical consequences, but are far less attention-grabbing because it's harder to find any one event to focus on.
