So that another company can sell police the same product for significantly more money than Amazon, with police departments passing on the expense to taxpayers?
If we don't want facial recognition used, we need new stricter laws limiting it's use. Preventing one vendor from selling a technology product is not an effective way of stopping mass surveillance.
