Nobody ever talks about the fracking waste water being basically permanently poisoned. It's easy to think of water as a renewable resource, because, well, rain, but fracking is constantly removing the so much of it from the system.
It amazes me that people in Texas aren't blowing sites sky high, instead just watching that water get wasted while their crops dry up an die.
