If you think the largest oil company on the planet has no pull in these international trade agreements you would be very wrong.
The entire point of these trade agreements is to create a sort of "global law" that cannot be trumped by voters lest they pass some law or regulation which might restrict a trans national corporation in some way.
These trade agreements are the first step toward a global government that nobody on the globe has any say about.
